    Skylar Gemmer

Dr. Skylar Gemmer's mission is to help to give humanity another option to better health care by educating his community about chiropractic. Dr. Skylar is passionate about chiropractic and assisting those in their healing process. Dr. Skylar Gemmer has been involved in Chiropractic his entire life. Born into a chiropractic family he learned about chiropractic early on, getting checked for spinal misalignments moments after birth. Working and going to school fulltime he recalls driving about an hour to see his own chiropractor, paying cash out of his own pocket and occasionally not even needing to be adjusted that's how important maintaining health is to him.

Dr. Skylar goes to the chiropractor the way others go for routine physicals or dental check ups, because the spine requires regular maintenance much like a car, a home, or our teeth. If something requires maintenance and you neglect it, it WILL ALWAYS break down and the spine and nervous system are no different.

After graduating from Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Skylar made it his mission to be a great adjustor and sought out those in the profession who could help him achieve that goal, he continues dedicating his time working hard to advance his craft. He continues learning and completed a CDC ACSM CEC Certification on Concussions. Dr. Gemmer also has Advanced Certification In Whiplash And Traumatology.  Dr. Skylar also became Certified in Myovision DynaROM which is used for assessing those who have sustained a work or Motor Vehicle injury. He also mentors those interested in pursuing chiropractic as a career. Dr. Skylar is a director on his chiropractic college alumni board where he serves to help improve the school's endowment fund and keep alumni connected to the school. Dr. Skylar was elected by his professional peers as a Vice President of the DSC Professional Chiropractic Fraternity which helps to further the chiropractic profession. In his spare time he enjoys working on his bonsai plants, fishing, bee keeping, traveling and visiting with friends and family. Dr. Skylar does not believe that health or sickness happen by accident; but rather from habits and behaviors made consciously or unconsciously and therefore practices healthy behaviors his daily life.

    Rustin Schreiner

Dr. Rustin Schreiner's Mission Statement is to help as many people as possible achieve optimal health and quality of life through chiropractic care. Dr. Schreiner’s interest in chiropractic began at a young age when he began suffering from severe back pain. He often found himself asking, “Why does my back hurt so badly every time I reach down? Why would a healthy 15 year old be having these problems?” It seemed nobody had the answers to these questions. The solution from the medical community was to try more medication, instead of asking the real question of: what is causing this pain? That’s when Dr. Schreiner sought help and received it from an unexpected source. A skeptic at first, his family made an appointment to see a chiropractor. With low expectations he went in for his first appointment. The doctor came in and asked a series of questions, and then put his hand on exactly where he was having the pain.

After examining the rest of the spine and taking xrays, he was told to come back the next day where he received his first adjustment. One visit and he was convinced!! Dr. Schreiner had immediate relief; he was very excited to be normal again. It wasn’t until a few weeks later of being under frequent chiropractic care that he said to himself, “I haven’t had any headaches!” This is something he now gets to hear from patients daily. Dr. Schreiner was lucky enough to have his chiropractor explain the difference between treating symptoms and fixing the cause of the problem. He didn’t know it then, but this shift in philosophy would change his life! It was this experience that led him to become a chiropractor. After working in a few chiropractic clinics and getting his prerequisites required he attended Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. It, as it turns out, was one of the best decisions he had ever made.

Dr. Schreiner chose the school because it was different. Its entire curriculum was focused on FINDING the CAUSE of the problem and FIXING that, instead of treating symptoms. It was the most handson of any Chiropractic College, which taught him the best way to take care of each individual. It was here that he became passionate about Wellness and Prevention, and began to realize that his requirement as a chiropractor went further than fixing the nervous system, but ensuring that his patients stayed healthy for the rest of their lives. He continues learning and completed a CDC ACSM CEC Certification on Concussions. Dr. Schreiner also has Advanced Certification In Whiplash And Traumatology.  Dr. Schreiner also became Certified in Myovision DynaROM which is used for assessing those who have sustained a work or Motor Vehicle injury. Dr. Schreiner stays active enjoying hiking, traveling, and playing basketball. He is also a huge Seattle sports fan and attends Seahawks games with family and friends. As his philosophy is rooted in prevention and reaching optimum health, he works out daily, and participates in sports believing it is best to live a healthy lifestyle and be an example to his patients and gets adjusted regularly to ensure proper nervous system health and optimal function. Staying active helps him stay young and feel healthy, and helps him continue to bring passion for wellness into the office.

    Vanessa Wise

Dr. Vanessa Wise was introduced to chiropractic due to a motor vehicle collision where she was rear ended at 70 mph. She hit her head on the steering wheel suffering a severe concussion. After a visit to the ER she was told to rest and take some muscle relaxers and pain medications. Suffering with constant nausea and vertigo she read the label on the pills which showed side effects of nausea and dizziness. As she was already suffering from those she knew she wasn't going to take something that could worsen her symptoms. Unable to work due to the debilitating post concussion symptoms a surgeon she worked with at her job told her to go see a chiropractor.

As she had experienced first hand the alternative option of medicine and knew that it was NOT solving the problem she sought out a chiropractor. She started care and began noticing after each adjustment that she felt better, not all the symptoms were resolved, but there was improvement and hope that she could live a normal life again. After six weeks of care she woke up feeling normal with no dizziness, nausea or vertigo. She was able to drive herself to work again instead of relying on others. Dr. Wise returned to her job as a health educator but knew that although she loved it this wasn't what she wanted in life it wasn't a fulfilling enough career. Instead she wanted to become a chiropractor in order to help give hope to others who may be suffering just as she had.

Dr. Wise entered school that following quarter and became fascinated with the philosophy of chiropractic. During her clinical time at Life Chiropractic College West she was selected to go to El Salvador on a one week mission trip where she volunteered her time to adjust the citizens of San Salvador. Dr. Wise continues learning and completed a CDC ACSM CEC Certification on Concussions. Dr. Wise also has Advanced Certification In Whiplash And Traumatology. She also became Certified in Myovision DynaROM. In her spare time Dr. Wise enjoys writing, spending time with her cats and traveling. As exercise is one of the best things to help improve brain body connections including posture and balance she makes sure to do a variety of exercises daily including weight lifting, yoga, and cardio.
